What qualifies to be considered a post-secondary school?
The question
I am looking into attending a language school for (hopefully) two years, if not, then one or one and a half years in another country. This would be beneficial to my major, seeing as one of my majors is for a language. But I believe it is strictly a language school, dedicated to improving your knowledge in their language. After finishing that school, I plot to come back to the US to end college or stay in the country and attend college there. So basically, I want to attend this language school and not worry about if I have to start replaying my loans so far if I am abroad.
I was just looking at my loan in rank and it said that my payments are scheduled to start in November of 2013, but that’s if I don’t continue schooling. So I have two years before I have to start paying, if I don’t go back to school.
On the FAFSA site, it says you need to be (in order to keep your deference going):
Enrolled at least half time in an eligible postsecondary school or studying full time in a graduate fellowship program or an approved disability rehabilitation program.
Unemployed or meet our rules for economic hardship (limited to 3 years).
I am plotting on calling and talking to my student loan agency tomorrow but I wanted to question anyway.
Oh, and for general in rank, I am transferring to a new university (I was at a community college before) this coming fall and spring. If I am to attend the two year program, I plot to go in April 2013 (two year programs only start in April) and thinking that I should attend another semester, fall 2012, at my university, before going to the language school.
Well I’m rambling so any in rank would be very much appreciated!!
Thank you so much!
So…that includes a language school?

Edit: Yes, I would reckon that the language school would count.. It counts for people in USA from foreign countries that come here and take english (As a language)
