Definatly a video camera. If your Vlogging you can’t bring your webcam every where u go to make ur vlog.

The Video camara will work best for you because if you are going ro make a video like in the kitchen or out side you might not be able to take your web cam over there…but, if you like to make videos in your room than a web cam will be better, so it is basically your decision on what type of videos you are going to make

A web cam, will have very bad sound quality and picture quality; I would not recommend using one.

It is better to invest in a good quality cam-corder; I would suggest a Sony Hanicam

Hey,

You should definitely get a video camera. I personally use a isight web cam ex. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONFfVROlhLE and the quality is not so good. Plus its not very mobile either.

You take confectionery sugar a stick of margarine beat with mixer and add milk just a little at a time. If you add too much milk just add more sugar. This can be colored with food coloring for variety. Good Luck.

**This is the recipe that I use…

Decorator Buttercream Icing

3 1/2 cups
10 min prep

1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup real butter
1 1/2 teaspoons clear vanilla extract
5 cups confectioners’ sugar
2-3 tablespoons milk

Cream butter and shortening then add vanilla.
Add sugar a cup at a time beating on medium speed.
Add milk 1 Tbls. at a time and beat on high until completely blended.

ROYAL ICING

Makes enough for 8 Sugar-Cookie Cakes, or about 6 cups

3 pounds confectioners’ sugar

3/4 cup plus 3 tablespoons meringue powder or powdered egg whites

Stir together the confectioners’ sugar, meringue powder, and 1 1/4 cups water in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. Mix on low speed until smooth, about 7 minutes. Add water, 1 teaspoon at a time, to achieve a consistency slightly thicker than honey. Icing can be stored airtight up to 2 hours.

I want to help people that are less fortunate in life but I don’t want to do the whole donations thing. I don’t want to help in a materialistic way by giving them money. I want to do more than that. I wanted to do something like travel to a different country and help people out of a sort.
I think teaching kids to make a living at something they’re good at is really important. My mom taught me how to write well and how to sell my articles for a fair price to different places. Now, even if I don’t have a job, I can still work and pay my bills!

Whether it’s kids in your community or kids in Darfur … imagine if you taught some community kids how to do odd jobs and how to charge per hour and where to get the tools and how to bank their earnings!

And if it’s African kids, teach them how to make gorgeous crafts or wonderful tapestries or sculptures of their own traditional or tribal-like designs and then taught them good business skills so when Western wholesale buyers go over there to buy their handmade imports from them, they won’t get cheated by the buyers anymore who pay a penny for a thing they’re gonna sell for $ 100.

Or teach kids how to plant crops and teach them where to get the seeds and teach them how to sell their crops for a fair price.

That way, you aren’t just sending a donation … you’re sending a whole lot more!

Since a few people have mentioned it, I should note that I am planning on using a dye-free scent-free laundry soap – I already do because of my terrible allergies.

My advice is to wash it with an unscented, hypo-allergenic laundry detergent to avoid rashes on your baby’s skin. You can wash it as soon as you want, but the problem will be keeping it fresh smelling. You should buy some rubbermaid tubs to fold and store everything you wash so it will retain it’s freshness. You could put a couple dryer sheets between layers of blankets or clothes to help keep the scent pleasant.

im also 29 weeks and have pretty much all the clothes ill need for a good while.. anywho i washed and put them away also did the blankets i have.. had the urge one day so i did it.. as i get more and its enough for a load of laundry or 2 i wash them and put them away also.. i mainly did it so i could get it organized so i knew what i had and didnt have and whatt all i needed come to find out i need socks and thats about it! haha
congrats! i bet ur just as excited as i am.. terrified to give birth but.. i suppose its a little late to turn back on that one haha..
p.s i am having a little boy and his name is Chandler…

EDITT:: just saw the person aboves answer and i have my clothes in a rubbermaid storage dresser thing… its smallish i guess.. also have the dryer sheets in with it and it does help keep it fresh who knows maybe ill wash it all again when the time gets closer haha

I would wait a few more weeks definately I would say around 35 weeks (in case u have the baby early)
U don’t wanna wash it too early because you will just have to rewash everything again.
Good luck with everything

I’ve been having to biggest urge to do this also (28 weeks pregnant)! I’m trying to make myself wait until after Christmas, atleast, and hopefully until after my baby shower (3 weeks later), just so that I can get everything washed and done at once.
I’m planning on using a detergent that is dye and fragrance free, since I have sensitive skin and use it anyways.
If you want to wash them now, go ahead, then put them into plastic tubs to keep them clean and dust free.

The question

I am planning to buy pro tools m-powered and am not really interested in the m-box interface. What I want to do is get a mixer with firewire and just plug it in directly to my macbook pro. Do I have to get the m-box or can I just use the instrument inpts and xlr plugs on the mixer? Basically, what are some other compatible mixers or core hardware for m-powered?

You are getting the Pro Tools LE and Pro Tools M-powered confused. Pro Tools LE comes with any of the M-box interfaces. Whereas Pro Tools M-powered is a separate software that you can purchase in order to run Pro Tools with M-Audio audio interfaces such as these:

http://www.zzounds.com/a–925404/cat–M-Audio-Audio-Interfaces–3217

You are on the right track though. You can only use Pro Tools with Pro Tools hardware (HD and LE). The only exception is the recent introduction of Pro Tool M-powered where you can use PT with M-audio audio interfaces.

The LE and M-powered softwares are in general the same (both LITE version of PT HD). Hope this helps.

The question

Okay so my plan is to move to la fall of 2012 and i want to go to school in hollywood. I’ve been doing my research though. I figured ill need at least $ 10,000 of my own money, plus I’ll have student loans for housing and such. Preferably I want to move to west Hollywood considering that’s one of the better places to live. Will I be able to do that considering the high rent? And also how is the job situation out there? Im gonna need to find a job, part time at least as soon as I get there but at least I’ll have the money buffer when i get out there. I just don’t want to be another statistic of moving there for 6 months and having to come home. Any good advice? Thanks guys

This question is asked here every day. Go back through the past few days’ worth of answers, especially those by Obviousman.

Here’s my standard answer:

Most people who ask this question are unprepared, unrealistic, with no money, no experience, no skills, and no plan.

If you are outside the United States, you will need a visa (even if you’re Canadian). The nice folks in the immigration forum can help you with that. However, getting a work visa is extrememly difficult unless you are highly skilled and sought after (such as a doctor, scientist, or A-List celebrity). You need to have a sponsor.

You need a plan: First item on the agenda is rent. A decent 1BR apartment in LA currently goes for $ 1200, give or take. Nicer areas and areas closer to the beach are much higher. Don’t expect to move to Santa Monica and get an apartment on the beach for that much. Or Toluca Lake, or Beverly Hills.

Next, you will need a car. Los Angeles is VERY spread out, and train service is extremely limited. If you don’t have a car, you will have to take a bus, which takes 3 times longer to get anywhere than a car.

All told, it generally takes about $ 3,000 per month to live here. If you don’t have a job that pays that much or skills that can get you that kind of job, stay where you are. If you are unskilled and work for minimum wage (or for tips like bartending or waiting tables), you’ll only make about $ 1200 per month.

And speaking of jobs, they are rather hard to come by now. College grads seeking employment are having a very tough time of it right now, since the job market is flooded with experienced people who were laid off. Unemployment is over 12% right now. Not exactly the kind of job market you want to move into.

Finally, you will need money. Landlords want first month’s rent and a security deposit up front. You’ll need money for food, transportation, utilities, etc. The consensus in this forum is that you need about $ 10,000 to start out.

So there’s your plan. And please don’t tell us that you have dreams of being an actor or singer. That sets off another alarm. We already have a million (literally) wannabe actors in this town. Don’t even get me started.

If you are looking for safer areas, go look at www.lalife.com and read the maps. Or check out neighborhoodscout.com.
…

OK, you have done some research and have part of a plan. But you still have a ways to go. The thing that made me just roll my eyes was “I want to go to school in Hollywood”. As if Hollywood were a nice place to live, and there were schools there. The whole “Hollywood” reference tells me that you may be just another starry-eyed dreamer, doomed to failure.

So, if you’re real about this thing, take a bit of advice:
-”Hollywood” is more of an idea than a place. Sure, it’s a place, where the industry is entertainment (rather than textiles, for example). It’s actually more industrial and less glamorous.
-If you’re coming out here for acting, realize that you have a better chance of hitting the lottery than making it big in acting. Competition is more than fierce, it’s virtually impossible to get in.
-If you’re coming here to go to college at a public university, you’ll pay out of state tuition, which is 3 times the amount of in-state tuition. It’s best to live on campus.
-WeHo is one of the better places to live, but it’s much more expensive as well. It’s also the gay capital of SoCal. Don’t know if that’s your thing or not, but you should know that before going there. Figure a 1BR runs about $ 1500 in WeHo, compared to $ 1200 in most areas.
-Part time work won’t cut it here. You’ll run out of money too fast.

The key is this: Unless you have family here where you can stay for free, it’s just too expensive to move here, unless you truly like ghetto “living”. It’s not really living, more like surviving.

As for where to live: The answer to this really lies in the answer to the question, “Where do you work”? It’s not good at all to live in South Bay if you have a job in Pasadena. It’s stupid, in fact. The one thing that grinds people down more than anything here is the traffic. It’s the worst thing about living here. So rather than worrying about “cheap and safe”, your FIRST order of business should be getting a place close to your job. THEN you can worry about safety and price. But, to reiterate, nothing is cheap here.

One thing that many people just cannot grasp about LA is the sheer immenseness of this area. Around most cities, you have a central city area, some suburbs, and then spaces between cities. Around LA, there is a solid mass of urban, suburban, and commercial property that stretches for about 100 miles in every direction. From the air, you cannot tell where one city ends and another begins. Because of this urban sprawl, there is no line of demarcation where the housing prices drop steeply. 30 years ago, that line was around Corona, southern Orange County, and Simi Valley. Now it’s past Riverside, Palmdale, and western Santa Barbara county.

The question

My boyfriend just popped the question, and I am now an officially engaged woman! We couldn’t be more thrilled! I graduate from college this May, and he graduated this past December. While we both are currently employed, and have a little bit in savings, our wedding next year is still going to be fairly expensive, there’s no getting around it.

As I am looking things up, I wondered about taking out a small loan to help cover the costs? Is this a normal thing to do? Has anyone else done this? Keep in mind, in the very near future we will have student loans, regular monthly bills, and (hopefully) house payments to make as well. Is taking out a small loan for your wedding a wise decision? Has anyone in similar circumstances done it?

This is all fairly new to me, so any tips or advice you can give would be great!

Thanks so much!!!

Loans will hurt you since you still have student loans, just invite yor immediate family and his, and closest friends , but keep it small, trust me, loans will hurt you.

Do not go into debt to pay for your wedding. Bad start for your future.

No lending agency is going to loan for a wedding. How would the loan be secured? If you default, what would they repossess?

Your wedding doesn’t have to be expensive. Many, many people find ways to save money without compromising what they want. You have to budget and have the wedding and reception you can afford.

Why would you plan a wedding that you cannot afford? That’s not exactly mature, or a sign of being adult enough to enter into marriage.

No, taking a loan out for a 240 minute party is not wise. Why? As you realize, you will have student loans, monthly bills, automobile loans/repairs, rent/mortgage payments, insurances and incidentals to pay on an ongoing basis. If you take out a loan for a wedding, which will qualify as a personal loan, you may be over extending your credit and that may prevent you from moving forward in other financial matters if your income to debt ratio is not balanced.

Better to save the money and have a budget for the wedding. You can be engaged for a couple of years and save enough to have the wedding. If you have too many outstanding debts, it will be very hard to qualify to purchase a house.

Be smart about this and you can have it all.

Your estimated cost of attendance is $ 26,827. This includes tuition, fees, books, living expenses, transportation, etc. Your actual tuition will be less than this. Keep in mind that this is an estimate and your actual costs could be more or less. They generally survey current students to get an idea of expenses beyond tuition that students have. Also, just because this is your estimated cost of attendance doesn’t mean that your financial aid will cover this entire amount.

The question

So I submitted my financial aid at UCF and had to do verification. Those documents are still being processed but my EGC through FASFA was 04656 and that I may be eligible to recieve up to 1176 pell for the 2011-2012 school year. I already signed my lease on my student housing (460/month)…any my estimated tution for the school year is like 4000 not including books or anything else. even though my verification is still being processed on UCF’s school financial aid thing it already said my pell amount as well as my sub and un-subsidized loans amount. My pell only $ 450 a semester or 900 for the year. Does this sound right could it change after verification? I made about 13,000 this year my mom made 30,000. I’m freaking out because at community college i would receive way more. could it be because i made 13,000 this year and not last year?
ok so im pretty much screwed.. where i work i have to leave because of school…then if i can acquire a new job at all(hopefully) and make what i was making(rare) to pay for school and housing, not only will it possibly affect my grades but i will probably again fall into what i did this year for next year. and could possible fail and fail and fail at life. Even education is a joke you have people with bachelors and masters who cant get jobs they were hoping for when they went to school..you see them working shitty minimum wage jobs everywhere…fuck this shyt…any ideas on what I could do before I jump off this bridge(joking)? my loans amounts are little as well..should i just try to find a job and work my ass off, and hopefully it wont affect my studies? or should i accept the shitty 2,000 loan as well as any other loans…scholarships i tried to apply for as many as possible…still no word, plus its like if your not a fucking prodigy you cant even apply and i feel like if you get

You got it. Pell is based on the previous years income. Your household is low income, however it does have enough to support your education. Between you and your mother, you have over 43k worth of income. So basically, you working in 2010, caused your pell status to change for 11 12 year.

In short, you’ll have to find scholarships or do loans if your pell is not enough to cover your needs.

Your eligibility amounts can change once your documents have been verified, ESPECIALLY if you estimated on your FAFSA. So your awards are not final until you receive the official award notification from your school (the info given to you on the FAFSA confirmation page is only estimates based on the information you provided).

And no, you are wrong to say that you would have received more at CC. The Pell calculation is the same, no matter what school you are going to. The fact that your income increased from 09 to 10 is what caused the decrease to your grant amount. If you were attending CC, it would be the same.

The question

(Live in Michigan) I am a newly single parent.. I have a 15 month old daughter and am 5 months pregnant with another girl. My husband and I are in the process of getting divorced- won’t be final until spring 2012. I’m living with my parents and my daughter is with me most of the time. I work full-time, 40 hrs a week, and get paid $ 16.57 an hour. I know it’s not “a lot” but it’s also nothing to sneeze at, especially in this economy. I don’t have a lot of bills, other than cell phone, student loans, car insurance, car payment and I STILL don’t get how single moms do it!

I’m going to apply for WIC, going to be kicked off husbands health insurance once divorce is final so I’ll have to get my own and pay a monthly bill for that.. are there programs I could qualify for which what I make income-wise? I have tried looking around and been told that I “make too much money.” Yet I can’t afford even a 2 bedroom apartment unless it’s in Detroit.. in a bad area.

Are these moms I see relying on child support? I seriously don’t understand how anyone does it. I feel like I’m going to lose my mind here. Some advice/suggestions please!
My husbands mother recently retired and watches our daughter for free. We give her about $ 60 a week for food, milk, her troubles, etc. She is also planning on/wants to watch the baby once she is born in April.

He only makes about $ 200 more a paycheck than I do so I’m not sure how much, if any, child support I’d get from him.

The question

I’m about to graduate college debt free because I worked full time while going to school. I got a BS in Applied Mathematics in 3.5 years. It makes me mad that some of my fellow students who goofed off and got pointless degrees and racked up debt will be “forgiven” by the government. Is there any economic reason to do this or is it just the Obama administration looking for the young vote in the 2012 election?
Frank USMC: I did in fact work full time all 3.5 years. I also have a job after I graduate. I didn’t go to an Ivy League school, I went to a state university. I don’t need a degree from an Ivy League to get a job and I knew I couldn’t afford it. It’s called living within my means.
NYC Kid: I’m not saying anything is WRONG with being in debt to go to school. I’m saying it’s your debt. I know med school costs like 100,000 or something ridiculous like that. If that’s your dream, go for it. Go do your undergrad at an Ivy League school, and pay crazy money for your Med School. But it’s YOUR responsibility, not the rest of the country’s to support you.
That’s where we disagree, NYC kid. Doctors and Engineers make great salaries. This is the private sector allowing them to pay off their debt. I pay my doctors a lot of money….they make good salaries, they should be able to pay off their debt. I don’t think we should have to support someone through the private sector AND through taxes. There is a reason people make different salaries depending on their job….and the private sector works just fine if the government would just get out.

I have a LOT of questions on SM- Can you answer them?

The question

I’ve been researching like crazy about the SM Audition and I was wondering do I fill out the requirements? I have a LOT of questions.. So please answer as many as you can, the best that you can!
1. Do I need to have specific traits to join the SM Entertainment? (Example is, Hair Style, Body Shape, etc.)
2. How long does the training goes for? (The most common amount of years..)
3. Does SM Entertainment’s Trainer tell me if I’m ready to debut, or do I just keep going and wait for news?
4. I’m 15 years old (Turning 16 in August 2012) and I was just wondering is my school life going to be affected?
5. My parents want me stay in school, even though I’ve explained that “They’ll let me
continue school”, and that they’d “Pay for everything”
6. Dancing is my huge strong point, but I can sing too. Should I audition for more than those two, to show that I have variety?
7. IF they aren’t completely satisfied with my natural looks, would I have to have surgery, or do I get to decide for myself?
8. I’m a determined, positive and persistant person, and full of confidence, but I’m also nicely mannered. Is there anything else I should be?
9. I’m auditioning over mail, because I don’t live anywhere near the other places to audition. Is there anything important I need to know about that?
10. I live in the USA.. And I am not asian. BUT I did read an article SM posted about wanting to try a different race to show their diversity. Would that give me a plus?
11. B/c dancing is my strong point, on a scale of 1-10, what is the perfered number?
12. Is it true that SM Entertainment pays for ALL of our needs? (Such as transportation, housing, AND food?)
13. Would I have to pay for my own ticket to get to South Korea, IF I’d get accepted as a student trainee?
14. If I passed, how would they contact me?
15. What is the usual schedule for a trainee? Do they get weekends off?
16. I’m 5’6 and a half.. Am I too tall? And I way 137 lbs, but don’t look like it. I’m working on dropping some, but is that too much just to audition?
17. My natural skin tone is a olive color, but I’m a little on the pale side, and my skin is very clear and faire. Is that a plus?
18. My hair is kind of… Uncontrollable sometimes. It’s an average length, but very thick and curly. To me, the style is blah, but I was wondering if there is anything I could do to make it stand out more and compliment my face? I have a rounder, heart shaped. I’ve been told my features are fairly girly.
19. Obviously, I speak English. Also I speak Basic Conversational French, and I am learning Korean. (Also on basic..) Would they teach me proper Korean, along with other Asian lanuages if I get accepted?
20. I’ve heard they like their canidates to look simple during the auditions, so I planned on wearing a plain colored long sleeved, some khaki’s, and my Doc Martens. Is this considered alright? If not, what should I wear? I don’t even wear makeup, so I’m fine on that.. But should I wear contacts, or my glasses?
21. I heard that they usually play Boom Boom Pow by the Black Eyed Peas for dancers, so should I send my dance tape dancing to that? Or something else?
22.I already know that SM doesn’t like it when you audition with songs from their company, so should I sing something in English?
23. If I can play an instrument (like the guitar and piano) should I submit a video clip of me doing that?
24. IF I pass to a trainee level, do they give us allowences? Or is it possible to access bank accounts from America through your Alien card?
25. Would I have access to internet? Incase I needed to use it for research? or do they just send you to library?
26. Would I even be able to see my parents? Like on holidays or in the summers?
27. Since I AM auditioning through mail (Not email, I heard they don’t even look at those) would they send the contract for me to sign through mail also? Or would I have to pay for myself to go to Korea to sign it?
28. Is it possible that they would ask me to pay for myself and come to Korea just to preform a face to face audition? And if they don’t like me, I’d have to pay for myself AGAIN to get back home?
29. Since I do understand some Korean, would I be allowed to go out on my own in the city to go shopping or hang out with other trainees? or would they send someone with us at all times?
30. I wouldn’t be recognized as a trainee… would I?
31. Would I be placed in dorm rooms with girls who also speak English as a first language? It’d be difficult if not..
32. Would you be rooming with people who are in your trainee level/class?
33. Do they measure your weight every week to see progress? What happens if you don’t have any progress?
34. what are the trainers like?
35. Does Lee SooMan favor trainees?
36. Is it true they beat you if you do something wrong?
37. I also heard some bad diet rumors. Are t
hey true? Like the water diet and the cucumber diet?
38. I make very good grades. I’ve only made A’s my entire schooling life in the subjects that matter (Like English, Math, History, and Science) But I am sad to say that I’m failing my Art class. (Because I don’t finish my assigments on time). Do they look at things like that?
39. My Dad isn’t well with this idea, and my Mom thinks I should go for whatever I set my mind to. Would I need both my parents permission to just try out?
40. I’m not auditioning until April, that way I can practice a lot more. Is that the wise thing to do? Should I wait longer, or do it as soon as possible?
41. I also heard that they don’t let idols have any love life at all. (Sorry, I’m a girl, I do dream about this stuff like everyone else.) So, if I do become a Trainee, and in a few years if I ever do debut, would I be able to date? I thought that maybe they actually do let their acts date, but only privately so that way the
(Ugh, the rest of that note didn’t post.. -.-)
Well, anyway- CONTINUED AGAIN!
fans don’t get too angry..
42. I’m a very silly and a goofy person, but I know how to be serious. I like to joke around a laugh. I smile A LOT and also laugh a lot- should I completely knock that out of my system for the audition? Or should I show them how I’m really like?
43. Last question- FINALLY! Sorry this has been so long..
I’m planning on sending six videos on a CD for my audition. 1. One of me singing with a microphone and music. 2. One of me singing without a microphone and no music. 3. One of me playing the piano and singing. 4. A 30 second freestlye dance. 5. A planned dancing routine. and 6. (Which will be the first one) One of me introducing myself (name, age, date of birth, reason, etc.) But should I include me speaking the amount of Korean that I know to show that I progress fast? (I became “fluent” in basic conversational Korean in one month..)
Thank you!!

I just answered a question about this.
I will be very blunt, I didn’t even read all of your questions…sorry it looked like way too much fluff, plus, the obvious answer is no.
Why?
I am an American too. I speak English as my primary language. My Japanese is very good, my Korean is improving and I speak some Chinese. My mother is German-Swedish-American and my dad is from a small African country called Ghana. I was also interested in joining SM, and I am still currently debating it, but honestly think this way:
I told my mom about the all expenses paid, education blah blah blah. Don’t do it. I’ll be harsh, when you really think about it, it’s dumb. When I told my mom, at first I thought she was just being mean, and I know this is probably how you feel. But you’re in Korea, you’ve never been there, never spoke this language, never met these people, and there are horrible rumors about this industry. My guess is they WILL take advantage of you. Your family will be nowhere near you, they will NOT pay for your family, just YOU. No one will be watching you except for these strangers. Does that feel safe to you?
Just don’t do it. I know this answer is frustrating. I really want to be in SM too, but it’s unsafe, it’s risky, and you could be gambling with your life. Just don’t go there!
I’m sorry my answer is harsh, I’m just trying to state the facts here. If you’d like to talk more about Korea/entertainment industries/SM, feel free to contact me on here. (Though I’m not too sure how to use Yahoo & Yahoo Answers.) I hope I didn’t sound too mean
Good luck with whatever you do.

1. You have to be good looking and skinny (they like those). They look for good-looking people!!
2. normally 3-5 years. if you’re really good, then maybe 2 years (the least). if you’re not that talented, then probably 6-7 years.
3. They will see if you’re ready to debut through your training, then they’ll tell you if you’re ready.
4. Well, if you live in Seoul, then yea you can continue school. But if you live elsewhere, then you’ll have to transfer to a school in Seoul.
5. I don’t really know what the question is, but yea, sm pays for everything.
6. Yea, you should, they’ll ask you if you have any other talents and you can show them if you want.
7. They would tell you to do surgery, but they can’t force you to do it if you really don’t want to.
8. Just be yourself!
9. People rarely get chosen by email because they get like thousands of emails every day and they won’t bother looking at all of them. As far as i know, only 1 person got chosen over email (I forgot which group she’s in!)
10. Well, they actually prefer asians, but if you’re really talented and good-looking, maybe they’ll let you in.
11. maybe around 8
12. They definitely pay for housing, food, school, transportation…
13. You’ll have to go to korea for the second and third round of audition, and i don’t think they pa for those because you’re not a trainee yet. but if you pass all those rounds, then yes, they’ll pay for your tickets.
14. Email and they’ll also call you.
15. You get sundays off i think. The schedule is: you wake up, go to school, go for training right after school (5-7 hours), go back to your dorm and do school homework, then sleep. it’s the same for everyday, sometimes you have to skip school to train.
16. You height is good, i have the same height as you!! you don’t really need to work on your wight, if you get accepted and they think you need to be skinnier, then they”ll help you diet.
17. yes, they like people with pale skin!
18. i think your hair now sounds pretty good, i think you can change your hairstyle or something when you’re a trainee.
19. yep, they’ll teach you korean when you’re a trainee. and when you debut, you’ll probably have to learn thai and chinese.
20. yea, it’s pretty good. you jus have to look simple and not show-offy. Don’t wear make-up, they want to see your natural beauty. Well, I think contacts would be better, but it depends which one looks better on you.
21. You should choose a song that matches your dancing, i think boom boom pow is a really good song for dancing.
22. Well sure!! just like dancing, you should choose a song that can bring out your voice. You don’t have to choose songs from sm if you want to sing korean songs, just choose songs from other companies!!
23. I don’t think you’ll need to show that.
24. They give you allowance even when you’re a trainee. and i guess it’s possible.
25. i think you there will be internet, you can do research on your free time.
26. you will rarely see your parents, but i think they do get holidays, maybe like 1-2 weeks?
27. If you get accepted by email, then you’ll have to go to korea for the 2nd and 3rd rounds, then you’ll sign a contract.
28. yes
29. you cn go with your friends, but i don;t think they will send someone to go with you…
30. nope
31. yes, you will
32. i don;t know about that, maybe not.
33. I think so, you will definitely make progress, because they help you with your diet.
34. they’re pretty nice, but if you’re really bad then they’ll scold you and maybe even hit you a little (I don’t think they’ll hit you hardly, just softly).
35. I have no idea, but i think so.
36. They wont beat you unless you’re REALLY bad, but they don’t hit you hardly.
37. yea, they’re true…
38. Well, i don’t think so, but the new school you’ll be transferring into will.
39. well, yea you have to because what if you really get accepted, you’ll have to go to korea!
40. wait until you’re ready.
41. yes, they don’t let stars date, but i think some of them secretly dates, i don’t know!
42. be yourself!!
43. yea, you should, it’ll give you a tiny bit of advantage.

1. Your body shape can be changed. For example, if SM thinks you are a bit overweight, they will instruct you to go on a diet. So no, body shape/hair style does not matter.
2. Depends on how much raw talent you all ready possess. Typical training time for people who are both talented in singing and dancing is three years.
3. What do you mean? Once you have been accepted as a trainee, you will live and train in SM’s company in Seoul. You will be notified in person if you’re ready to debut.
4. Yes. You will not have much time for academic studies. You will go to a school in Seoul, but SM wants you to focus on training, not your school work.
5. Is there a question here? o_o
6. Yes, definitely! It is crucial that you show the judges of what you are capable. This way, the chances of you being selected are higher.
7. SM Entertainment likes a natural, pretty “base” face, meaning it does not have to be one hundred percent perfect, but with slight changes such as double eyelid surgery.
8. Patience and focus are keys to success. It is good that you have determination!
9. Yes. Some times, SM does not receive all e-mails sent to them. If you do not receive a reply within a month, I suggest you send them the audition e-mail again.
10. Well, I’ll be honest. It is hard, very very difficult, for a non-Asian to get accepted. I have never heard of any non-Asian who have been accepted. The closest to non-Asia was Eurasian. However, SM is rapidly expanding its artists to countries all over the world. I say it wouldn’t be too later that SM accepts non-Asians. There is a chance.
11. Depends on your vocal abilities as well. A strong 9 or 10 is what you want to aim for. You have to wow the judges, show them what is so special about you, what differs you from the other contestants.
12. Yes, but only once you’ve become a trainee. If SM wants you to fly to Korea to audition for another round, you will have to pay for your own fares.
13. No.
14. By e-mail, letter (mail), or phone.
15. Trainees practice from morning till night. They stop for breaks, but they’re not very long. No, you train all seven days.
16. No, that is the perfect height actually. Tall, long-legged females are very attractive.
17. If SM wants you and think you should drop a couple of pounds, they will let you know. Don’t worry, weight can be altered. It’s talent and looks that SM cares about!
18. Professionally straighten your hair, thin it, and get layers, perhaps side-swept bangs as well. Bangs provide a cute touch, and layers will slim your face.
19. Yes. They will also teach you Chinese and Japanese. Knowing French is a bonus.
20. Perfect. Contacts.
21. Go with a song you are comfortable with and shows off your moves and skills. Some thing upbeat like Boom Boom Pow is good. A catchy song that one can freestyle to is ideal.
22. Yes.
23. Yes, definitely. ANY talents like that will earn you bonus points!
24. Yes, they will give you spending money, but not very much.
25. Yes, you will have Internet.
26. Yes.
27. Actually, I passed my first round via e-mail lol. There will not be a contract until you have officially become a trainee.
28. Yes and yes, since you are not a trainee yet.
29. Yes, you won’t be like you’re in prison. There won’t be a guard with you because you have not debuted yet.
30. You might, if people stalk the SM building and see you there regularly
31. Yes, I believe SM will do that, otherwise you wouldn’t be able to navigate any where.
32. Not necessarily, no.
33. No, they will not measure you. They will instruct you to eat a specific diet if they think you should lose weight.
34. Tough and strict. They expect full focus and hard work from you all the time.
35. Only if you’re related to him somehow.
36. No. If word spread, it would affect them negatively.
37. They can’t make you live on water; that will kill you. The most common diet is boiled chicken breast (not a large serving), spinach, and tomatoes. With water, of course.
38. No, they don’t care.
39. No. They don’t even have to know.
40. Yes, practice more, improve your dancing abilities to an even greater extent. You want to shin at your audition.
41. You can’t date fellow trainees or idols in the same company. If there are any relationships, they must be strictly secret. Like hanging out backstage or texting/calling.
42. Be comfortable. Smile when you dance and introduce yourself; it’s okay to show some emotion. You don’t have to be a brick.
43. Yes, that is wise. Also, make sure your pronunciation is accurate.

The question

I am living in england, im 22 and im saving for a deposit. I have read endless advice about mortgages online but thought i would ask some specific questions. Here is my situation:
-I am a university graduate with a student loan that I am paying back at the default rate.
-I am engaged to a girl the same age as me with an income of £19,000 (senior school teacher)
-My income is £26,500 on a permanent contract
-I have an overdraft on an old student account that i am paying off (the over draft is interest free) that totals £1000, I will add that i am paying this off steadily.
-I don’t have any credit cards but have lots of direct debits (mobile phone, gym, car insurance, pension etc)
-I am saving in a Nationwide SaveToBuy account for first time buyers (Joint account with my fiancee) we save roughly £500 per month and are looking to apply for a mortgage next summer (2013)

Will i come up against any unforseen problems when it comes to application time? I would like to know about any issues now rather than in a year!?!

Thanks in advance.

My only advice is to pay off that overdraft debt and the student loans BEFORE buying a house.

You say you are engaged and plan to buy the house in the summer of 2013, but you don’t say when you are getting married. Get married BEFORE buying the house.

Good luck.

- pay off your overdraft
- check your credit rating (experian – can check it for free)
- save at least 10% of the property, and have a few thousand for costs

Also I’d recommend you get married before purchasing a place; makes the paperwork easier, and also you’re obviously less likely to back out together if you’re married!

The question

I’m not in a position to leave my full-time job. My question isn’t related to getting clients, a business plan, or start-up capital. I’m not sure how I balance starting and growing this type of business while working full-time. I landscaped for a municipality throughout college. Also, are people open to having landscaping done on weekends? Thank you for you help.

Easy! After you have all the things you don’t want answered (clients, business plan, and start up capital), you begin doing landscaping on the evenings and weekends when you are not working.

I know, you are going to be tired! But, if a landscaping company is your dream – you will love every second of it, and before you know it you will be able to tell your current boss that you quit!

Yes, people are very open to having landscaping done on the weekends! I see it all the time.

Good luck, and congratulations on your new venture!

business and news
http://yugtran.info/

Hi, a couple of points that might help you.
Firstly if you have the relevant skills and equipment (or can hire it in cost-effectively) and have the time to be able to fit this work in then go for it! The time question is maybe the biggest issue. What hours can you work? will your day job let you work shifts so that you can have some time during each weekday?
2 If the price is right you can work anytime, pay me enough and I’ll work 24/7! If someone’s garden is looking cruddy then they would rather you were working in it than they were sitting out in it! But obviously you can’t work unreasonable hours that will inconvenience your customers – and what about disturbing the neighbours – and what about having some time off for yourself!
3 You need to think forward and you need to think customer service tho. what if you get a job that needs 10 days worth of work? if you just work weekends then this means the job lasts 5 weekends, will your customer put up with a building site instead of a garden for that long? What if you build up a regular 20 hours per week of garden maintenance and then you want to take a week off? How seasonal is the income going to be?
4 It is worthwhile thinking what you want out of this in say 2 years time. Is this going to build up into a full time business or is it going to stay as a part-time income? If you want it to be a full-time business then even though you are doing it part-time at the moment you need to treat it as a smaller but very professional business – in other words to start as you mean to go on. So you have business cards, letterhead stationery, a website, written proposals for new business, contracts for customers to sign, and make sure that you do a good and professional job. But most importantly, you need to charge as you mean to go on. If you start out as the cheapest guy around then as soon as you need to put the prices up so that it pays a full time wage everyone will get upset with you and some of them will leave.
5 Finally, a reality check. Find out how much your competitors charge (what sort of cars do they drive?), then look at what your costs and taxes would be and work out what your net takehome would be. Is this going to be financially viable.

Water systems in impoverished countries, that type of thing. I’m just trying to avoid the peace corps 4-year long commitment.

Since you’re not asking a question here, I’ll just wish you good luck in your research.

What you’ve done so far is flawed, since Peace Corps doesn’t have a four-year-commitment. It’s 27 months, but people don’t generally build water systems.

Do you have a college degree? Peace Corps requires one and I will assume that any other organization will require such qualifications. You have misinformation about the Peace Corps…to check them out. see www.peacecorps.gov
If you have the money, you can join others…check out that information at:
